At University World Championships, Team USA kept the medals and records rolling with three more masterful performances.

Mattie Rogers pulled a mega hat trick with not only gold across the snatch, clean & jerk, and total but also with three new American University Records.

Her 103kg/227lb snatch and 132kg/291lb clean & jerk were well above second place at University Worlds and good enough to break her own American University Records.

Team USA also had two men compete yesterday: Travis Cooper and James Tatum. While Cooper has competed at 77kg for the past quad, he and Tatum both competed as 85s at University Worlds.

Travis Cooper didn’t have the snatch session he wanted, finishing with 140kg/308lb, but he was able to turn it around and earn silver in the clean & jerk with a 180kg/396lb lift. He finished in fourth overall.

James Tatum snatched 151kg/333lb and clean & jerked 178kg/392lb. His snatch and total (329kg) were each good enough for silver.
