"This year is going to sting."

Dave Castro has been the mind behind the programming of the CrossFit Games since its inception, and he takes his job very seriously. The fun part of the job, though, is to leave small, completely opaque and unintelligible hints for people to pore over in an attempt to guess what's coming. Here's Castro's first hint for the 2017 CrossFit Games Open, which runs from Feb. 23 to March 27:

Yep, there you have it. Maybe somewhere in that blurry writing is the entirety of the 2017 Open. Maybe when Castro says "this year is going to sting" he actually thinks Sting may win the Open this year. Maybe we're all just a little too invested in guessing what might be coming when the answer is pretty clear: CrossFit stuff with a side of pain.
