The International Olympic Committee has awarded the 2024 and 2028 Olympics simultaneously to Los Angeles, California and Paris, France. While the IOC has awarded both of those Olympic Games, it hasn't decided which city will host which year.

Now that the decision has been made, it's up to the respective city committees to agree among themselves which city gets to host which year. The cities have until September to figure that out, at which point the IOC will ratify their decision.

Los Angeles has hosted the Olympics twice before, in 1932 and 1984. Paris has hosted the Olympics twice as well, once in 1900 and once in 1924. Paris' bid for 2024 was designed as a 100th anniversary of the 1924 Games. Stay tuned for more updates as we get them.
