The 12 Best Moments From The 2017 CrossFit Games
And just like that the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games are a wrap. The new venue in Madison, Wisconsin, brought some magical moments that are bound to be remembered as some of the best in Games history. Here are our top 12 moments from the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games. Oi! Oi! Oi!

1.) Tia-Clair Toomey Sends A Message

To close out the opening Run Swim Run event, Toomey blew past Kristi Eramo and nearly caught Brent Fikowski at the finish line. This set the tone for Toomey for the entire competition.

2.) Never Challenge Patrick Vellner On An Obstacle Course

CrossFit's Ed Sheeran put his gymnastics and engine capacity on full display during the Sprint O-Course event, leaving no doubt who's the best on obstacle courses.

3.) The Face You Make When You Win An Event And Don't Get Credit

Kara Webb snatched 203lbs in the 1RM Snatch event while Alessandra Pichelli snatched 207lbs. However, after review it was found that Pichelli had a misloaded bar bumping her down to second place, tied with Tia-Clair Toomey.

4.) Brent Fikowski PR's His Snatch, But At What Cost?

Fikowski PR'd his snatch to take third in the 1RM snatch event, but he definitely decreased his chances of having a kid. A problem that any guy that snatches can relate to.

5.) George Sanchez Is An Absolute Brute

Back during regionals, Sanchez proved he was a savage on workouts that involve just pure grunt work with his performance on Event 6. The Games rookie further proved that point by dominating the Assault Banger event. Forty calories on the assault bike in 26 SECONDS...

6.) Katrin Dominates Strongman's Fear

The two-time Fittest Woman on Earth Katrin Davidsdottir had a trademark performance on the strongman implement event. Big shocker: people from Iceland are very good with strongman implements.

7.) Mat Fraser Is Willing To Die For The Win

Brent Fikowski and Mat Fraser were neck-and-neck at the finish line during Strongman's Fear. The Canadian superhero narrowly edged out the fitness cyborg, but not for lack of Fraser trying.

8.) Cody Anderson Cleans Double Body Weight TWICE

One of the smallest competitors in the field and fan favorite, Cody Anderson lit up the entire coliseum when he hit his second double body weight clean at 350 during the Muscle Up Clean Ladder event. All doubts about the coliseum in Madison vanished after this moment.

9.) Ricky Garard Shows Up And Blows Up

Rookie of the Year winner Ricky Garard threw down all week, but his performance on the Madison Triplet was masterful. I just imagine that Garard spends his free time in Australia leaping over hay bales and throwing cheese curds around for fun.

10.) The Best Event Finish In Games History

Tia-Clair Toomey and Kara Webb gave us the best event finish EVER. While Sara Sigmundsdottir might have won the Fibonacci Final, Toomey and Webb's photo finish stole the show.

11.) Mat Fraser Is So Fit He Accidentally Takes The Lead

It looked like the reigning champ wasn't even trying on the Fibonacci Final. When he's the first to arrive to the overhead lunge portion of the event you can clearly see the confusion and surprise wash over his face.

12.) The Comparisons End Now

Mat Fraser is his own person with his own unique motivations and goals in CrossFit. The two-time Fittest Man on Earth is the most dominant CrossFit athlete EVER.
