Video By: CrossFit HQ
For the first time since its origin, the 2015 CrossFit Games will include a brand new division: teenagers. Since 2010, these ‘Fitness Olympics’ have sought out the world’s fittest man, woman, master, and team, and with a new year, brings a new division of play. Teenage athletes will have the opportunity to throw down in Carson, California, competing for the coveted title of Fittest Teenager on Earth.
While these newcomers will go through a relatively similar process as compared to their veteran counterparts, there is one striking difference. After the Open, there will be no further qualifier for the teenage division- the top 10 worldwide in each age group will automatically advance to The Games. There will be no Regional qualifier for the division.
The breakdown is as follows:
Girls: Ages 14-15
Girls: Ages 16-17
Boys: Ages 14-15
Boys: 16-17
Total: 40 Teenagers
More information to be released by CrossFit HQ soon.
