This afternoon, elite junior-level weightlifters aged 15-19 will take the platform with the goal of bringing home gold from El Salvador. Among them are record holders, competitors making their international debuts, and lifters returning to take care of unfinished business from last year. When (and who) should you be sure to tune in for? Take a look below.

WOMEN

Maddy Myers
This 19-year-old holds the current Junior American record in clean-and-jerk (118kg) and total (206kg) for her weight class (63kg). She also holds the Junior American record for the 58kg weight class in clean-and-jerk (108kg) and total (189kg). At last year’s Junior Pan-Ams, she took home bronze. According to her Instagram, she’s feeling consistent at the 190-lb snatch—could she break Mattie Rogers' 92kg/202lb snatch record set last spring to hold all three Junior American records?

Jourdan Delacruz
The current Junior American record-holder in the snatch (77kg) and total (170kg) for the 53kg weight class. She also has a fair share of Youth American records to her name in the 14–15 and 16–17 age divisions. What will she bring out at Junior Pan-Ams?

Jessie Bradley
The current Junior American record holder in snatch (99kg) for the 75kg weight class. Jessie brought home bronze in the snatch and total lift at last year’s Junior Pan-American Championships. Will she add more hardware to the collection this year?

MEN

Nathan Damron
This 19-year-old is returning to Junior Pan-Ams this year on a mission. While he doesn’t hold any Junior American records, we’ve seen him hit a 192kg clean-and-jerk in training (Instagram or it didn’t happen, right?). Will he be the one to break Kendrick Farris’s 198kg clean-and-jerk American Junior record set in 2006?

Dylan Cooper

At the upper end of his age bracket, this 19-year-old earned bronze in the clean-and-jerk and total lift at last year’s Junior Pan-Ams. Chances of seeing big numbers from this lifter in El Salvador are more than good.
