With a last second call keeping Jeff Evans out of the Games and giving Helmick the room he needed to place fifth, Gary and Alea Helmick are the first married couple to go to the CrossFit Games since Matt and Cherie Chan in 2011.

Ben Smith notched another first place finish and Noah Ohlsen finished Event 7 in seventh, and they stayed in first and second place overall respectively.

Travis Mayer finished second in Event 7 and putting the pedal to the medal paid off, putting him in third overall when the dust settled.

Finally, a fourth place finish in Event 7 gave Jacob Anderson the push he needed to finish in fourth overall and become the fourth Anderson in his family to make it to the Games.
