The Strongest Woman in the World contest opened with the log clean-and-press for reps. Lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight athletes lifted 155-, 175-, or 195-pound logs, respectively, for reps in a 60-second time limit.

Lightweights

Jamie Christenson set the pace early with three reps on the log before Jessica Kite bested it with five and Leslie Hoffheins managed an impressive six. The final competitor, Rachel Pyron, hit a quick five reps, then slowed down for the sixth, but didn't have enough gas to take the overall lead. She tied Hoffheins for first in the event.

Liefia Ingalls took second with a stout eight reps, while Kimberly Lawrance and Kristin Johnson each finished with seven reps for a joint third place.

Heavyweights

23-year-old Britteny Cornelius kicked off the event with five reps. Julie Rader and Cerise Peck made it a competitive heat by matching each other rep for rep; Peck ended up with four, and Rader with three. Mollie Hoss was the last to compete after she was penalized for not waiting for the down command. Following the no-rep, she came back to basically strict-press five reps and tie Cornelius for first in the event.
