Ottawa Bids To Host 2017 CrossFit Games East Regional
Ottawa, Canada may be the next host of the CrossFit Games East Regional. According the Orleans Star, the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group has met with Ottawa Tourism to put together a proposal for the bid.

According to the Ottawa Sports Commissioner Jody Mitic, the East Regional attracts nearly 5,000 people per day and nearly 500,000 online views per day. After successfully bringing the UFC to Ottawa in June, Mitic is looking to bring CrossFit to Ottawa in 2017.

"I'm excited to showcase our city to so many people from across Canada and the US especially during 2017, Canada's 150th birthday," Mitic said.

The report notes the deadline for the bid is mid-October, which likely means bids for all the regional host cities are also due at that time.
