How Would Jacob Heppner Have Done At Regionals?
When Jacob Heppner withdrew from the 2017 CrossFit Games season, we knew we were going to miss out on one of the most exciting competitive CrossFitters. When the Regional events were announced and Heppner completed them all in the same day, we knew we missed out on seeing one of the best of the best do his thing. But now we have two Regional competitions complete and we can have a better idea of how Heppner's scores would have compared:

In Event 1 (run + hspu + chest-to-bar pull ups + squats with a weightvest), Heppner's 15:20 would have been a bit shorter as he ran a full mile instead of the 1200m everyone at Regionals ran. His 15:20 would have been good for second place in both the East and the South Regionals.

Heppner's 2:48 on Event 2 (dumbbell snatch and ring dips) would have been good for first place in both the East and South Regionals.

On Event 3 (lunge + double under + wall ball + rope climb chipper), Heppner finished in 11:50, which would have put him in first in the South and third in the East.

Heppner's score on Event 4 (handstand walk, toes to bar, kettlebell deadlifts) was 6:18. As far as I know, he only has the 203lb kettlebells from the Games in 2015, but he would have been second in East and first in the South.

Heppner finished Event 5 (muscle ups + dumbbell overhead squats) in 6:17, putting him in third in the East and first in the South.

Event 6 (assault bike + burpee box jump overs + sandbag cleans) would have been Heppner's worst finish at 3:23, putting him in fourth in the South and fifth in the East.

While Heppner's gym set up probably didn't include all the transitions and distance which the athletes had to deal with on the Regional floor, it's safe to say Heppner would have crushed Regionals and easily qualified for the 2017 CrossFit Games.
