'I'm Not A Victim': Camille Leblanc-Bazinet's Two Year Plan After Injury
Camille Leblanc-Bazinet's focus is now on recovery and 2018 after suffering a season ending injury at the 2017 CrossFit Games.
In a new, in depth interview up on Reebok's website, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet opens up about the difficulty and ease of making the decision to withdraw from the 2017 CrossFit Games.
“Of course I’m bummed I can’t compete, but it doesn’t erase all the hard work that I’ve put in this year," she said when asked about making the decision to pull out of the Games.
As a veteran of the Games, Leblanc-Bazinet knows that she's got a long career ahead of her and shouldn't make a bad situation worse with a poor decision that could exacerbate her injury for no reason.
With a mindset like that, Leblanc-Bazinet is now focusing on her recovery and is planning on keeping the process as transparent as possible for her fans. “Showing the real side of me is so much more important than showing me on the podium. It’s a common injury, and hopefully I can use it to help people do better protocol and learn.”
Hopefully her recovery is swift and complete and she returns to form in 2018.
