In his first year as the head football coach at the University of Redlands, Jim Good led his team to the 2021 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title and a spot in the NCAA Division III Playoffs, where the Bulldogs fell in the first round.

The years since have been spent trying to get back to that level of success, and Good certainly has the experience to do it.

Before being named the head coach at Redlands, he spent a decade within the program, serving a variety of roles, including offensive coordinator from 2012-2021. During his tenure, the Bulldogs have claimed four of their nearly 30 SCIAC championships (2013, 2016, 2018 and 2021).

After an 8-2 debut as the head coach, Good and the Bulldogs have gone 4-6, 5-5 and 3-7.

The team’s 3-7 campaign in 2024 included a 3-4 conference record and a second-place finish in the three-team Sun Division behind winner Pomona-Pitzer, which went on to win the SCIAC championship game against Surf Division winner, Chapman.

The Bulldogs closed the season with a 24-0 loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the conference’s third-place game. 

In 2025, Redlands will play five road games, four games at home at Ted Runner Stadium in Redlands, California, and one game with a location determined by the final conference standings.

The new season will get underway at home Sept. 6 against George Fox University.
