The 2026 Magic City CrossFit Semifinal will serve as a key stage in the Age Group pathway to the CrossFit Games, bringing qualified athletes to Birmingham, Ala., for three days of competition from May 1–3.

Held at the Birmingham Crossplex and Bill Harris Arena, the event gathers top performers from the CrossFit Quarterfinals leaderboard to compete for limited qualifying spots at the 2026 Age Group CrossFit Games.

Participation in the Magic City CrossFit Semifinal is determined through a structured invitation process tied directly to Quarterfinal results. Athletes are selected from the official leaderboard, with invitations extended in order of finish until each age group division is filled. This ensures that the field is composed of athletes who have advanced through the prescribed competitive pathway.

The event is strictly invite-only, with no open registration. Once invitations are issued, athletes are given a 48-hour window to accept their spot. If an athlete declines or does not respond, their position is offered to the next eligible competitor on the leaderboard, continuing until all divisions are finalized.
