From long endurance efforts and high-volume gymnastics to heavy odd-object lifts and one of CrossFit's most iconic benchmark workouts, the programming is designed to identify the fittest masters athletes across every age division.
Competition begins Tuesday, July 21, with the opening two events before champions are crowned on Thursday.
Here's a look at every workout athletes will tackle during the 2026 Masters CrossFit Games.
The Masters CrossFit Games, Teenage and Adaptive CrossFit Games and the CrossFit Games are streaming on FloElite and the FloSports app.
Masters CrossFit Games Event 1
3 rounds for time:
- 600-meter run
- 600-meter weighted run
The opening event is a straightforward but demanding test of endurance. Athletes will complete three rounds of running before immediately tackling the same distance carrying a weighted implement, forcing competitors to manage their pace from the opening meters.
Masters CrossFit Games Event 2
- 4 rounds for time:
- 25 toes-to-bars
- 75 double-unders
- 4-3-2-1 snatches
The second event introduces gymnastics, coordination and weightlifting into the competition.
Masters CrossFit Games Event 3
- Part A: Row
- Part B: Handstand walk for distance
Unlike the opening two workouts, Event 3 features two scored components.
Masters CrossFit Games Event 4
For time:
- 45 pull-ups
- 20 dumbbell box step-overs
- 35 chest-to-bar pull-ups
- 20 dumbbell box step-overs
- 25 bar muscle-ups
- 20 dumbbell box step-overs
Grip endurance becomes the story in Event 4 as athletes work through progressively more difficult pulling movements separated by weighted box step-overs.
Masters CrossFit Games Event 5
For time:
- 21-15-9 thrusters
- 12-9-6 burpees over the bar
CrossFit fans will recognize this as a classic sprint. Thrusters and burpees over the bar combine into a fast-paced workout that rewards athletes willing to push the pace while maintaining efficient movement. In a workout this short, every transition matters.
Masters CrossFit Games Event 6 (Ages 35-44 Only)
8 rounds for time:
- 240-foot shuttle run
- 1 seated rope climb
- 1 heavy sandbag clean
Reserved for the 35-44 divisions, Event 6 blends conditioning, pulling strength and odd-object lifting into one demanding test.
Masters CrossFit Games Event 7
For time
Five rounds of DT completed across descending work intervals.
Athletes begin each interval by completing a prescribed number of calories on the Echo Bike before using the remaining time to complete as many rounds as possible of DT (12 deadlifts, 9 hang power cleans and 6 shoulder-to-overheads). Work periods shrink from five minutes to four minutes and finally three minutes, with one-minute rests separating each interval.
It's a fitting finale that combines one of CrossFit's most recognizable benchmark workouts with one of the sport's most unforgiving machines. As fatigue builds and the work windows get shorter, Event 7 has the potential to create dramatic leaderboard swings and decide multiple Masters CrossFit Games titles.
