Our Junior World Team continues to excel through the Third day of the Junior World Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Erin Amos

Erin lifted yesterday in a stacked 58kg weight class.  She placed 15th overall with a 4/6 performance, snatching 75kg and clean and jerking 94kg.  This was a personal triumph for her as she was dealing with a nagging injury during her train up for Junior Worlds; despite this she was able to place a total at a world level competition.

Jordan Cantrell

Jordan managed to make both of his opening attempts on the snatch and clean and jerk to clinch 15th place in a very competitive weight class (85kg).  He made 145/173; while these are not PRs, he still made a great showing for himself competing at his first World competition.

Nathan Damron

Nathan is another one of our lifters competing in the 85kg weight category.  Nathan went 3/6 finishing in 9th place!  He competed in the B session for the 85’s but still managed to out-rank two A session lifters.  After crushing his opener snatch at 143kg, he made 150kg on his second attempt.  He was also credited with his opener clean and jerk at 180kg.

Cheyenne Schenk

Our final Junior lifting today took 13th place in the 63kg weight class.  Cheyenne came back from a missed snatch opener at 74kg to finish with 77kg.  She was also credited her second clean and jerk at 94kg for a 4/6 performance.
