CJ Cummings Takes Gold & Sets World Record At 2016 IWF World Championships

Team USA's CJ Cummings earns gold and sets a new World Record 182kg clean & jerk at 2016 IWF Youth Weightlifting World Championships.

CJ Cummings Takes Gold & Sets World Record At 2016 IWF World Championships
Sixteen-year-old CJ Cummings of Team USA has set a new Youth world record clean & jerk on his way to sweeping the M69kg weight class at the 2016 IWF Youth Weightlifting World Championships.

Cummings handily took gold in the snatch, clean & jerk, and total with 135kg/297lb snatch, a 182kg/401lb clean & jerk, and a 317kg/698lb total. His 182kg clean & jerk broke his own 180kg world record set last June at Junior World Championships. Check out his awesome 182kg world record clean & jerk:

Congratulations to CJ Cummings on his incredible performance! This is Team USA's second medal of the 2016 Youth Worlds following Hayley Reichardt's bronze medal on the first day of competition.
