Bernadin Kingue Matam Wins Gold At 2017 European Championships!
France's Bernadin Kingue Matam wins gold in the men's 69kg division at the 2017 IWF European Championships.

The men's 69kg division at the 2017 IWF European Championships finished up Tuesday with France's Bernardin Kingue Matam winning the title in Split, Croatia.
His final lift, a 180kg clean-and-jerk, sealed the deal and earned Matam his first European title.

You may notice Matam has a unique overhead position, with hyperextended elbows:

Matam, who is 26, took seventh in the Rio Games and placed fourth at the 2016 European Championships. His previous international gold medal was at the 2014 World University Championships.
