The last day of the 2017 Nike National Championships have concluded! The groups in today’s session included the women’s 75kg, 90kg and +90kg.  The men’s 105kg and +105kg competed today as well.  

Ali Ludwig of Waxman's Gym has become the first ever women's 90kg National Championship, winning the title with a 102kg/224lb snatch and a 124kg/273lb clean & jerk:

Olympian Sarah Robles (+90kg) snatched 120kg/264lb and clean & jerked 150kg/330lb for a 270kg total, making her the 2017 National Champion. Robles won bronze this past summer at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games where she snatch 126kg/277lb and clean & jerked 160kg/352lb for a 286kg total. Her performance In Chicago after the Olympics shows that she still has a lot left in the tank!

Taylar Stallings earned the gold medal in the women's 75kg division in just her fourth weightlifting competition ever:

D’Angelo Osorio (105kg) snatched 165kg/363lb and clean and jerked 211kg/464lb for a 376kg total to become the 2017 Nike National Champion.  This is a 13kg improvement to his total since last year’s Nationals where he won bronze.  Now he begins his prep as he goes to represent the country at Pan-Ams!

Now 5x champ, Caine Wilkes (+105) wins his 5th consecutive National Championship in Chicago where he snatched 169kg/372lb and clean and jerked 218kg/480lb for a 387kg total.  He has totaled higher than this in the past, but today this was all he needed to keep his title.

Toomey, Vellner Back-To-Back Wodapalooza Champs, Mayhem Freedom Claim Title

Wodapalooza 2020 is officially a wrap. Let’s talk about what went down on the fourth and final day of competition and who’s walking away with the CrossFit Games invites. The Elite individuals and teams competed two events on the Sunday. The first event, ‘Down-Up,’ put athletes through a brutal couplet of heavy deadlifts and bar-facing burpees. The second and final event of the day, ‘Celebrate Life,’ was a chipper that required high-power output and sound strategy.

Day 3 Wodapalooza Recap: Sager, Toomey & Mayhem Freedom Lead The Way
