Thor Follows Up His Insane Squats With A Beautiful 400kg/881lb Deadlift
Hafthor "The Mountain" Bjornsson's strength feats continue with an incredibly easy, strapless 400kg/881lb deadlift.
Hafthor "the Mountain" Bjornsson is on a warpath. After taking second place at World's Strongest Man 2017 in Gaborone, Botswana, Thor has put his sites on not just winning in 2018 but taking some incredible strength world records on the way.
His number one goal is to beat Eddie Hall's 500kg deadlift world record, which was thought to be impossible by a lot of people, and Thor is looking fitter and stronger each day on his way to testing that limit. Earlier this week we saw him squat 400kg/881lb for an easy double, and today he's crushed a 400kg/881lb deadlift with no straps!

According to Thor, this is the first time he's ever squatted and pulled 400kg in the same week, which is an incredible feat of strength.
Even with Eddie Hall retired from World's Strongest Man, the title isn't going to just slip into Thor's giant hands. He's got to beat Brian Shaw, who is going for his fifth WSM title, and Zydrunas "Big Z" Savickas who has recently made a solid return from nagging injuries to make a comeback. Either way, it's going to be an exciting year in the sport.
