Harrison Maurus Snatches 150kg For A Double!
Team USA's Harrison Maurus just snatched 150kg/330lb for a double in training prep for the 2017 IWF World Championships.
Harrison Maurus is one of the most promising young weightlifters in the United States, and he recently made his senior debut at Pan Ams earlier this year.
With the 2017 IWF World Championships just a few weeks away in Anaheim, California, Maurus is putting his finishing touches on his training and has made incredible progress in a short period of time. Just last month, Maurus PR'd his snatch at 150kg/330lb and yesterday he hit that for two!
According to his coach, Kevin Simons, Maurus will very likely be opening his snatch at worlds with 150kg, which would put him in a great position right off the bat.
With nine of the best weightlifting countries banned from competing at the 2017 World Championships, talent like Harrison Maurus will have the opportunity to do some incredible things and take Team USA to the next level.
