Top Moments From 2017 Strongman Nationals

Strongman Corporation Amateur Nationals had some truly awe-inspiring performances out of Las Vegas over the weekend — from huge log presses to 600ft Husafell carries. Here are a few of my favorite performances from the weekend. Let us know what yours were!

You can relive all the action with our full archives here!

Jessica Fithen 210x3 Log Press

In the women's heavyweight class, 21 out of 25 athletes could not do the 210lb log press; Jessica Fithen was the only athlete to get multiple reps for the event win.

Trey Mitchell 360lb Stone Of Steel For 10 reps

Trey Mitchell has been just a few points shy of his pro card a few times and is long overdue. He had a dominating performance this weekend capped off with one-motioning the 360lb stone of steel to win the heavyweight class and earn his pro card

Christina Bangma 200lb Husafell For 540ft

The lightweight women's class was a fierce battle all weekend. In the final heat of the Husafell stone carry, Christina Bangma was the last woman standing after all five other lanes had dropped their stones. She went on to complete a few more laps for 540 total feet, carrying the implement 145ft further than second place!

Courtney Martin 210x12 Stone Of Steel

Courtney Martin was impressive all weekend and won the heavyweight women's class to earn her pro card. With her talent, she should be an immediate force in the pro division.

Alvino Garcia 610lb Yoke 60ft In 7.8 seconds

Alvino Garcia basically sprinted with 3.5x his bodyweight on his back, which is incredibly impressive in case you can't tell!

Tommy Sharp 310 Stone Of Steel For 11 Reps

Tommy Sharp hit the 310lb stone of steel for 11 reps to secure second overall in the middleweight division and his pro card.
