Emily Abbott Fails PED Test, Is Barred From CrossFit Games
Canadian CrossFit athlete and champion of the West Regional Emily Abbott failed a drug test and will be banned for four years, according to CrossFit.
Canadian CrossFit athlete and champion of the West Regional Emily Abbott failed a drug test and will be banned for four years, according to CrossFit.
Although Abbott has never been crowned CrossFit champion, she has quite a decorated history. She finished in eighth place at the Games in 2015 and 20th the following years. She’s been a ridiculously dominant force in Canada, though, basically making it her CrossFit playground for the last few years. The former University of Windsor basketball player will most certainly have her Regional title stripped.
Abbott wasn’t the only one caught, however. Below are the others who breached the policy. The table (courtesy of CrossFit) includes the athletes' names, the length of their banes, as well as, interestingly, the substances for which they tested positive.

CrossFit obviously has a thorough and intense drug policy, and Abbott and the others suspended here are the latest to get caught.
