DAVE DURANTE | Handstand Walk & Press

null

Dave Durante's goal for teaching athlete's new skills is to break down the movement, analyze what's actually happening, and put them back together. In this video, Dave shows us two steps necessary for a successful handstand walk. Step 1: Head positioning. Unlike a static handstand hold, in your handstand walk, your head should be slightly tilted up, looking in the direction you're heading. Step 2: Create a uniform arched body position, from your shoulders to feet. Since your heels dictate your speed, the farther forward they are positioned, the faster you will go.
