In the final day of team competition in Carson the goal for most teams was to make it into to the final event. Some were on the bubble for podium contention, some were on the bubble of breaking into the top ten. CrossFit Mayhem sat comfortably in first, and 12 Labours CrossFit was arguably safe in second. It was important for Diablo CrossFit, CrossFit Nordvest, and CrossFit Soul Miami to have strong performances if they wanted to push themselves in to the final event. 

In the first heat, Backcountry CrossFit set the time to beat with 11:23. They weren't the fastest team in any individual movement or portion of the event, but they remained consistent for the win. They ended up taking seventh in the event, and 27th overall.

In the second heat, Reebok CrossFit Back Bay set a new time to beat with 10:16, and CrossFit Invictus came in close second with 10:23. While the event record didn't stand through the final heat, Back Bay's time was still competitive, giving them a second place finish in the event. They finish 20th overall. CrossFit Invictus finished fifth in the event and 14th overall.

In the final heat, Diablo CrossFit jumped on the lead early without anyone around them. Their lead was strong going into the handstand push ups, but they struggled with the movement and CrossFit Mayhem passed them up. Diablo began to fall apart at the end, and it came down to a race between the two teams on the lunges. Mayhem took the event win with a time of 10:12, making this their 11th all-time event win, a record across all teams at the CrossFit Games. They will go into the final event with a 146 point lead over second place, 12 Labours CrossFit.
