In a shocking Instagram post, Chandler Smith has revealed that he's lost the tip of his left ring finger:

This could put a damper on the rising star's run at the 2017 CrossFit Games. After making a name for himself at the 2016 Atlantic Regional, Chandler Smith has been a fan favorite for his honesty, abilities, and demeanor. 

According to Smith, side armor from a tank fell onto his finger and smashed the tip off.
