Sadie Wells Scores New Fran PR

Fran PR’s may seem tough to come by when your Fran time is already in the 2-minute range.
Sadie Wells knocked 15-seconds off her Fran time last weekend, as part of the PR Wraps Team at the Monstar Games competition in Goania Brazil.
Wells went from 2:40 minutes, last tested in March, to 2:25 a little less than six months later.
“I still drop from the bar three times, but I think the energy of the crowed and having to do Fran in a competition for sure was a great motivator. There was an amazing electric feel as the time counted down: ‘3..2..1…Go!’, so I just went,” Wells said.
She was cheered on not only by the crowd, but her teammates, Chyna Cho and Larissa Branson.
Wells, based out of Reebok CrossFit Miami Beach in Miami Beach, Florida, was on the brink of making the cut for the 2014 CrossFit South East Regional last year. She came in 66th place in the 2014 CrossFit Open. Sixty-sixth place in spite of an avulsion fracture she suffered to her lower extremity during Open WOD 14.3 (an avulsion fracture is when a fragment of bone tears away from the main mass of bone).
Wells was heart-broken, to say the least. She was put into a boot and a hard cast for about 1 month and 6 weeks, and took a total of about 3-months off from training after the Open.
Now, she’s ready to bring it on.
“I feel 100-percent ready to work, ultimately, working on being better than yesterday. I’m doing Xtreme Top Box competition this weekend and plan to do a few more competitions. Right now I am following ‘The Training Program,’” Wells said.
Watch out for this woman on a mission in 2015.
“I want a great showing in the Open and hope to make it to Regionals this year,” Wells said.
