It’s coming—the 2015 East Coast Championships’ (ECC)—and it’s not too late to register to be part of the event!
The 3-Week Online Qualifier officially kicks off Thursday, October 30th, at 5 p.m. EST and will be time to see how your training stacks up against some of the best of the best around the country.
The ECC, hosted by Ben Bergeron and his team from CrossFit New England, is a two-day competition, like none other, bringing elite athletes together during the winter months to test their training against one another and most importantly, have fun. Day 1 is completely devoted to Individual competition, followed by Day 2, during which athletes will divide up into teams of 4 for a fun team competition.
“More than anything, I really wanted to put on an event for some of the best athletes in our sport to have the opportunity for some really great competition, a competition that won’t leave them beat up, but still get to see where their training measures up to one another,” Ben said.
While many former Games athletes were invited and plan to participate in the event, tomorrow’s Regional and Games-level athletes can still get a piece of the action through the Online Qualifier.
Registration is currently $15 and officially closes Monday, November 3rd at 5 p.m.

During the Qualifier, participating athletes will have each week, from Thursday at 5 p.m. until the following Monday at 5 p.m. (EST) to video and complete the events for the week, and the top spots for entry into the elite competition are anyone’s for the taking.
At the conclusion of 3-weeks, the leading 10 Men and 10 Women will then be invited to participate in both the Individual (Saturday) and Team Competition (Sunday) days during the weekend of January 24th-25th.
This is no time to be intimidated.
Embrace the opportunity to put your own training to the test, discover new strengths and weaknesses, and ultimately, have a blast competing alongside several invited Games veterans, including Rich Froning, Chris Spealler, Stacy Tovar and Michelle Letendre.
“The Qualifier workouts will not look too foreign to you. Keep up your grind, day in and day out, in the gym and you will do just fine. If anything, it will be an opportunity to put your training to the test,” Coach Bergeron said.
