With a first place finish in Events 4 and 6 and a sixth place finish in Event 5, 12 Labours Lions lived up to the expectations placed on their team after their 6th place finish at the Games last year.

That’s not to say CrossFit Soul let up off the gas pedal on Day 2. With 1st, 2nd, and 7th place finishes, Soul’s dominant streak continues and their games qualification is essentially locked up.

The qualifying spots are pretty much already decided at this point unless something very dramatic happens, but “dramatic” is the name of the game on Day 3 of Regionals.

The most surprising performance of the weekend is Rising Orange, who competed at last year’s Games, sitting in 14th after 2 days of competition. Churn is a big part of CrossFit, and the ever changing events and team rosters could be a big part of that.
