Day 1 of the Atlantic Regionals taught us a few things. Ben Smith is looking to win Regionals, Daniel Petro is making a real claim to make it back to the Games, and Noah Ohlsen was surprisingly on the bubble going into Day 2.

Events 3 and 4 started with a bang as Travis Mayer looked to move his way up the leaderboard with epic performances. Travis Mayer’s 4:10 on Event 3 didn’t last long with Nate Bramblett attacking Event 3 with a vengeance and earning a new Event Record with a time of 4:06.

Outside of Brambi’s incredible Event Record, the most impressive performances on 3 and 4 belong to Jeff Evans who racked up a third and a fourth place finish in two events which would have crushed him just a couple years ago.

Noah Ohlsen finished 10th on Event 3 and was able to pull out a win in Event 4, giving him a much needed boost in points and moving him up the leaderboard. He seemed to learn his lesson from starting out too quickly in Event 2 and is setting himself up for success.

Going into Event 5, keep an eye on Petro, Bramblett, and Mayer. They’re sitting in 6th, 7th, and 8th respectively and are all aggressively chasing a return trip to Carson and an event like that rewards experience in the Games.
