Qualifying Conditions For Lance, Reardon, And Adkins
We hear you, Emily Bridgers: you’re a boss. With another event win under her belt, Bridgers is comfortably in first place and her ticket to the Games is essentially guaranteed.

Another consistent finish out of both Anna Tunnicliffe and Alea Helmick keeps them in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

The real race here is for the fourth and fifth qualifying spots. With a solid performance in this event, Christy Adkins has moved into fourth overall and Cassidy Lance sits in fifth with the same number of points as Meg Reardon.

The points race between fourth, fifth, and sixth is incredibly close as only three points separates those three spots. Here how this can shake out:

  • If each Christy Adkins, Cassidy Lance, or Meg Reardon place in the top 5 in event 7, the first two finishers will qualify for the Games.
  • Between Lance and Reardon, whoever finishes ahead of the other in Event 7 will qualify for the Games.
  • For Lance and Reardon to both qualify, they would have to both place in the top 5 ahead of Adkins in Event 7 or finish with at least 2 spots between them and Adkins if they don’t finish in the top 5.
Historically, Adkins has performed very well in events with legless rope climbs, including placing 2nd during the Legless event at the 2013 CrossFit Games. This will almost certainly be a race between Reardon and Lance for the final qualifying spot.
