Brian Shaw, the World's Strongest Man, stands at 6-8 and weighs in at 430lbs. Last night, every inch and pound of his size and strength paid off last night when he attempted a new 100m world record on the Concept2. Shaw rowed 100m in 12.8 seconds:

Shaw was at SuperTraining Gym training with Mark Bell and 2015 CrossFit Games champion Ben Smith:

Here's a longer video which includes a shot of the monitor after he's done -- it reads 1:03/500m. In the video, someone mentions the previous world record was 13.3 seconds, but this isn't accurate (see the update below for details):

Update: Brian Shaw's 100m time is not quite a world record. The current world record belongs to Ross Love at 12.8 seconds, or 12.77 seconds. Shaw's 12.8 unofficially ties the record, but until Concept2 weighs in, it isn't a world record.
