Eddie Hall Throws Shade At Thor's 455kg/1003lb Deadlift
World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall quietly claps back at Hafthor Bjornsson's recent 455kg/1003lb deadlift.
Eddie "The Beast" Hall has a bunch of strongman world records including the insane 500kg deadlift record and winning World's Strongest Man in 2017. But being at the top means everyone is trying to dethrone him and he's not just going to take it lying down.
Yesterday, Hafthor "The Mountain" Bjornsson made good on a promise and pulled an easy 455kg/1003lb. The Beast isn't one to let something like that slide and clapped back with a video of his 463kg/1020lb deadlift record from 2015:
"Just going to leave this here...463kg.....from 3 years ago!" It's not the most subtle dig, but it's 100% true. That said, there's always someone else trying to take you down once you get to the top and Hafthor Bjornsson has been gunning for the top for years now.
This type of rivalry is great for the sport of strongman as it will only serve to push the limits of human capacity further and further.
