In the first heat eyes were on Tasia Percevecz, and she delivered. She set the time to beat with 7:01:49. Her set-up was slower than most, but her technique stayed tight and we didn't see a single missed attempt. "I wanted to guarantee my reps would be good." She said. "It's not worth a no rep or a fail."

Her time to beat was knocked out in the second heat by rookie Jamie Hagiya. She kept ahead of Tasia's pace and cleared the ladder in 5:30:55. In the second heat we also saw 2014 Games Champ Camille Leblanc-Bazinet and fan favorite Stacie Tovar trade off lift-for-lift at the end. Camille's failed attempts gave Stacie the time she needed to edge her out. She finished the event 15th overall, Camille finished 16th.

Lauren Fisher was one to watch for in heat three. Her Weightlifting experience, and drive after not qualifying for the Games last year, gave reason enough to pay attention to her. She hung around with the top athletes in the heat, including Alessandra Pichelli and Emily Abbott, but it was Alessandra who took the heat win. Lauren finishes the event in 22nd place. Alessandra was not able to take down Jamie's time to beat, but still finished in the top ten (taking 9th place).

Kara Webb unsurprisingly knocked competition out of the water in the final heat, finishing the first set of squat cleans in about 25 seconds. With her speed on the snatch ladder at Regionals and overall strength, she wasn't quiet coming into the event. Brooke Wells also thrives off heavy barbells, and kept up with Kara for a majority of the event. Kara set the new event record with 5:17:12, fellow Australian Tia-Clair Toomey finishing right behind her in 5:56:92, and Brooke Wells in third with 6:10:07.

The event win pushes Kara Webb from eighth to fifth place. Despite a 17th place finish for Sara Sigmundsdottir (her lowest finish yet), she still sits in second place overall, four points ahead of Sam Briggs. Sam Briggs finished the event in 34th place.
