The final day of West Regionals has come to a close. The calculations have been made, the chalk settled, and the 5 men, 5 women, and 5 teams who will represent the West Regional at the 2016 CrossFit Games have been decided. How did the day play out?
If It Bleeds It Leads
Heading into Events 7/8, Boise CrossFit Rainbow had taken no lower than third in any event. The momentum kept going through the next two events, finishing 2nd in Event 7 and 1st (and setting a new event record) in Event 8. Despite the blood coming from one of their teammate’s heads as a result of a hit in the head by the bar, Boise CrossFit Rainbow has undeniably taken the 2016 Regional events and ran away with them throughout the weekend.West Regionals Team Qualifiers
The final event of the West Regional weekend was a race between CrossFit Fort Vancouver and Spokane Valley. In the end, CrossFit Fort Vancouver locked up 3rd place and their 8th trip to Carson, tying CrossFit Invictus out of California.Some Spots Safe, Some Still Up For Grabs

Going into the final event, Mitch Wagner needed to come in 1st to secure his place, Cody Anderson and Tyson Takasaki had to do very well (around the top 2) to lock in their place. Cole Sager would seemingly need a miracle to crawl his way out of 9th.Related Content
