The Nike Metcon 3 has been one of the most anticipated shoes of the year but little did we know that we'd be getting not just the Nike Metcon 3, but also their Flyknit cousin:

The Nike Metcon DSX Flyknit is positioned as the more running friendly variant of the Metcons as their site points to workouts like Murph and Helen as the style of workout they're designed for. My guess would be the Flyknit and Flywire will make the shoe lighter and more flexible and combined with a 6mm drop instead of a 4mm drop on the Metcon 3, the DSX Flyknit will be a much more comfortable shoe for longer or more running based events.

The best part is the release dates: you can order custom Metcon 3s via NIKEiD on December 19th and on January 6th the colorways of the Metcon 3s are released. Metcon DSX Flyknit will be available in the OG colorway on January 2nd priced at $160.
