World's Strongest Man 2017 took place this past week in Botswana and while there was no live stream, we've been lucky enough to spot some coverage here and there. According to the unofficial scoring, Eddie Hall has won World's Strongest Man 2017!

Reigning World's Strongest Man Brian Shaw is going for his fifth title this year at the 2017 WSM in Botswana and he's done everything he can to prepare for his title defense. Part of his preparation has been gaining weight, size, and strength, and gaining size when you're already 6'9" and well over 400lb is no easy task. Mark Bell, of Supertraining Gym and Slingshot, sent a shooter over to cover a day of Shaw's eating and it is pretty incredible:

The 2017 World's Strongest Man will be the first time in nearly 20 years that the squat, press, and deadlift will be tested in the finals. With two incredible world records in the deadlift and axle press, Eddie Hall is working to bring his squat to that same mythical level.

Hafthor "The Mountain" Bjornsson: Europe's Strongest Man, The Mountain from HBO's Game of Thrones, and perennial World's Strongest Man podium finisher. Thor has been chasing the title of World's Strongest Man for years only to place third or second for the past five years in a row.

World's Strongest Man 2017 is just around the corner and we recently found out the qualifying groups and events. We now know what events will be contested in the finals.

We know that the 2017 World's Strongest Man will take place between May 20th and May 28th in Gaborone, Botswana and now we know the qualifying groups and the events each group will go through.
