What separates great athletes from the rest of their field is their desire to stay on top and find that drive to keep competing even when they have nothing else to prove.

 By Lincoln Shryack After three straight weekends of qualifying mayhem at the 2018 CrossFit Regionals, the fields of 40 men and 40 women moving on to the 2018 CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin, are set. There were breathtaking performances from past champions, many first-time qualifiers, and, of course, heartbreak for those who came up just short of the cutline across the globe in the nine dramatic qualifying events. Overall, each of the nine regionals lived up to the hype and more.

It’s hard to believe it, but upon the conclusion of this weekend’s Atlantic, Pacific, and Meridian Regionals, the CrossFit Games will be less than two months away. Summer may still be a few weeks out, but the heat is already here, and the best fitness athletes in the world are rounding into shape for a shot at the biggest prize in the sport.

You can now add 2018 Commonwealth Games Champion to Tia-Clair Toomey's resume. 2017's Fittest Woman on Earth, Tia-Clair Toomey took to the lifting platform at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on April 6 to compete in the 58kg division in Carrara, Australia.

CrossFit HQ's media team is legit and each year they release a documentary on the previous year's CrossFit Games. The trailer for the 2017 version, called "The Redeemed and The Dominant," drops on Friday 2/9/18.

The CrossFit Games Open is just over a month away, beginning with 18.1 on February 22.

The time has arrived for the 2017 CrossFit Games Invitational. This year is set to put on a show with the host location being down under in Melbourne, Australia.
